This three-day guided tour invites you to discover the best of Kansai: temples, shrines, historic districts, nature, and the vibrant energy of Osaka.
With the help of an expert guide, you'll make the most of every moment, and then, on your free days, you can continue exploring the region at your own pace.
Day 1: Kyoto, the former imperial capital of Japan, known for its temples, gardens, and traditional neighborhoods that preserve centuries of history.
Our morning begins at Nijo Castle, a magnificent example of Edo-period architecture, where we'll explore its gardens and corridors steeped in history.
Next, we'll visit the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), an iconic temple reflected in a pond, giving it a unique charm.
Then we'll delve into the Higashiyama District, strolling along cobblestone streets lined with temples, artisan shops, and traditional corners that transport us back in time.
We end the day in Gion, the iconic geisha district, where the historic atmosphere and elegant streets allow us to experience the cultural essence of Kyoto.
Day 2: Nara, Japan's first permanent capital, a place where history and nature intertwine in a unique way.
We begin at Todai-ji Temple, home to the imposing Great Buddha of Nara, one of the largest bronze statues in the world.
Next, we'll visit the Sacred Deer Park, where these animals roam freely and are considered messengers of the gods.
We'll continue to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, famous for its hundreds of stone and bronze lanterns that create a magical atmosphere.
We'll end the day at Fushimi Inari Taisha, exploring the paths of red torii gates that climb the mountain, an iconic setting perfect for memorable photos.
Day 3: Osaka, the most dynamic city in Kansai, famous for its gastronomy, nightlife, and blend of tradition and modernity.
We'll begin by visiting Osaka Castle, a historical landmark surrounded by gardens and moats, offering a glimpse into the city's history.
Next, we'll explore Shitennoji Temple, one of Japan's oldest Buddhist temples, steeped in history and spirituality.
We'll continue our tour through the Shinsekai district, a retro area filled with shops and street food stalls, where you can experience the most authentic Osaka.
We'll end the day in Dotonbori, the city's most vibrant area, famous for its neon lights, food, and the iconic Glico sign a vibrant finale to this tour.
